A sixteen year old girl discovers she is pregnant, and in her turmoil, confides in her grandmother who revisits old memories from a painful past.

This film was done for the Speed Film Category in the 168 Film Festival in 2023. A random Bible verse is assigned to each team, to where 10 days of Pre-Production begin, followed by 168 hours to shoot, edit, and submit the short film. Planted is based off the Bible Versew`a Ecclesiastes 3:4, “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
